Prof. David Passig
Professor David Passig is a futurist, lecturer and consultant who specialize in technological, social and educational futures. He holds a Ph.D. degree in Future Studies from the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis, USA. He is considered to be the only certified Futurist in Israel.
An Associate Professor at Bar-Ilan University, Passig teaches at the Graduate School of Education: Systems Theories, Future Methodologies, technological, social and educational futures. He also heads the Graduate Program in Communication Technologies.
Passig, who served as a consultant for many companies in Israel and abroad, is also a best-selling author. His most recent, “The Future Code” spent 25 weeks on the best-seller list and received the Gold Book Award. He is a frequent lecturer at universities, professional associations, and government events and serves as a member at the Israel National Council for Research & Development.
Professor Passig recently developed a Taxonomy of Future Cognitive and Learning Skills which is being taught worldwide. He is also credited with establishing the Multimedia and Virtual Reality Laboratories at the School of Ed, and is conducting research on various aspects of the Human User Learning Interface of Virtual Reality and Multimedia. This Lab is the first Lab in Israel aimed at researching and teaching Virtual Reality in Education.
