Dr. צוריאל ראשי

ד"ר צוריאל ראשי הוא תלמידו המובהק של פרופ' אסא כשר, ונחשב למומחה בתחומי האתיקה המקצועית. הוא חוקר בתחום האתיקה המקצועית.

ד"ר ראשי הוא בעל תואר ראשון בחינוך (B.Ed.) ממכללת הרצוג, ובוגר בהצטיינות של היחידה לעיתונאות ולתקשורת מטעם אוניברסיטת בר-אילן. כמו כן הוא מוסמך M.A. מטעם המחלקה למדעי המדינה (מגמת עיתונאות ותקשורת ציבורית) באוניברסיטה זו. כותרת עבודת הדוקטורט שהגיש ב-2007 הייתה: "תקשורת ואתיקה עיתונאית ביהדות: חובת הציבור לדעת – הלכה ומעשה". מחקר זה זכה בפרס יואב על עבודה אקדמית מצטיינת בתחום ביקורת התקשורת הישראלית בשנת 2009.

מחקריו הראשונים עסקו בהיבטים פילוסופיים וסוציולוגים בקשר בין יהדות ותקשורת. בין היתר, פרסם צמד מאמרים עם פרופ' מקס מקומבס, ממציא תיאוריית סדר היום. המאמרים עוסקים בחיבור התיאוריה אל העולם הדתי. במשך עשור הוא היה ראש החוג לתקשורת במכללת ליפשיץ ובמכללת הרצוג בירושלים, ואף שימש כמרצה וכיועץ לתואר שני בביה"ס לתקשורת באוני' בר-אילן.

בעשור האחרון עד 2018 כתב ד"ר ראשי יחד עם פרופ' כשר ספר מקיף בנושא האתיקה המקצועית ביהדות, כחלק ממחקר הפוסט-דוקטורט.

במסגרת עבודתו הוא חוקר ומרצה בנושאי אתיקה מקצועית בפני פורומים אקדמיים וחוץ-אקדמיים בארץ ובחו"ל. בין היתר, הוא מרצה בתחום האתיקה המקצועית בפני פורומים וקורסים פיקודיים בצה"ל, במשטרה, בשירות בתי הסוהר, ובפני אנשי חינוך, רווחה ותקשורת.

כמו כן עוסק ד"ר ראשי בהוראת הרטוריקה והופעה בפני קהל במסגרות הנ"ל ובמוסדות אקדמיים שונים. בתחילת 2018 נבחר למרצה מצטיין באוניברסיטת בר אילן ולאחד מ-12 מרצים מצטיינים במערכת ההשכלה הגבוהה בישראל, והוכתר כ"מרצה מעורר השראה" על ידי התאחדות הסטודנטים בישראל.

Dr. Tsuriel Rashi distinct student of Israel Prize laureate, Prof. Asa Kasher, Professor Emeritus of Philosophy and Vice Chair of the Jerusalem Centre for Ethics, and is considered an expert in the field of professional ethics and rhetoric.

Dr. Rashi holds a BA in Education (B.Ed.) from Herzog College and a MA in Communication and Political Science from Bar-Ilan University. The title of the doctoral thesis he submitted in 2007 was "Journalism and Journalism in Judaism: The Duty of the Public to Know - Halacha and Practice." This study won the Yoav Prize for outstanding academic work in the field of Israeli media criticism in 2009. His first studies dealt with philosophical and social aspects of the relationship between Judaism and the media. He also published 2 articles with Prof. Max McCombs, Inventor of the Agenda Setting Theory, engaging in connecting the theory to the religious world. For ten years he was head of the Department of Communication - First at Lifshitz College and then at Herzog College in Jerusalem. He also served as a lecturer and consultant graduate School of Communications at Bar-Ilan University.

In the last decade until 2018 Dr. Rashi and Prof. Kasher wrote a comprehensive book on professional ethics in Judaism, as part of the post-doctoral research.

During his work he is a lecturing on professional ethics in academic and extra-academic forums in Israel and abroad. He is teaching at the IDF colleges as well as at the National Police College, and in courses of the National Prison Service. In addition, he lectures in seminars for journalists, teachers, social workers, etc.

Dr. Rashi also teaches rhetoric and public speaking in those forums and in various academic institutions. At the beginning of 2018, he was elected as an excellent lecturer at Bar-Ilan University and as one of 12 outstanding lecturers in Israel's higher education system and was named an "inspiring lecturer" by the Israel Student Union.
