PhD Studies

The PhD can be acquired in two tracks:

Track A: The doctoral student will submit a complete thesis after going through the traditional process according to the regulations of  the university’s School of Advanced Studies.

Track B: The doctoral student will submit a “Paper Doctorate” of three papers, based on the regulations of the university’s School of Advanced Studies. In addition, all doctoral students in the School of Communication who wish to pursue a PhD in the “Paper Doctorate” track are required to have at least one of their papers under review in an international journal ranked Q1 according to the SJR/WOS journal ranking systems, at the time of submission. The doctoral student should thus submit a confirmation in writing from the journal’s editorial team, stating that her/his paper was received and sent for review by the journal’s referees.
